Payroll Retropay Enhanced results in multiple element entries

We are testing Retropay Enhanced (EBS 12.1.3). We previously used RetroPay (by aggregate), not RetroPay by Element.

Is it normal that the Retropay Enhanced process generates a one to one retro element entry for every single occurrence of the base element? For example, for one employee’s retroactive salary increase, it generated 169 element entries for the retro element.  Is there a way to generate one retropay summary element?
