Taxable Wages for Federal and State for an interim check do not match

We created an interim check for an employee that contained a REG pay type and a Vacation Payout pay type (which is taxed at supplemental tax rate). When we click the purple calculator, the Taxable Wages for Federal do not match the Taxable Wages for State. The State Taxable Wages is less the amount of the Vacation Payout. It is not treating it as Taxable Wages, nor is it putting the amount of the Vacation Payout it into Excludable Wages. Has anyone else had this issue?
