Changing the FND_USER.USER_NAME

Hello,

Smart people within our organization have determined that we need to change the accountname with which we log into Oracle E-Business Suite. We are analyzing what this would require.

In our investigations we came across notes 2712469.1 and 1534830.1 which would indicate that changing the FND_USER.USER_NAME is (kind of) not supported.

Do any of you have any experience with this requirement? How did/do you handle this?

Do you create a new FND_USER?

Do you change the FND_USER.USER_NAME anyway?

In either case, how did you handle responsibilities,profile options, audit trail, workflows/workflow roles / workflow notifications etc ?
