ODA 19.18 is the terminal release for ODA X5 and X6 models

We just learned last week that ODA 19.18 is the terminal release for X5 and X6 models. We learned of it from this blog post announcing that 19.18 was available:

It seems like Oracle should be giving us more notice before such a major announcement, instead of telling us when they release the terminal version. Things like this require planning. We have three ODAs, two are X6 models (our non-prod environments) and one is an X8 (production). We can't procure a new X8, get it setup, and our databases migrated to it in just a few months. I'm actually very surprised that Oracle is making a terminal release notice in this way.
