How can I automate Outside Processing from MRP Release to Approved PO?

Looking for some guidance here. Anyone with insight or some level of direction is appreciated.

We use seeded standard OSP processing, no ingredients, just an inventory item subassembly with a bill of material and routing. We associated a resource to the routing and the OSP item (non-inventory item) as the assembly on the outside processing resource. The OSP item (non-inventory item) is assigned a sourcing rule and has an approved supplier list attribute setup, sourced from a quote. All standard.

We currently release the subassembly from MRP Workbench and this implements an unrealeased work order. We navigate to discrete jobs function, change status to released, then perform a move transaction to trigger the PO Move action that drives and creates the requisition. We use AutoCreate to generate a standard purchase order based on the ASL release method.
