oe_order_pub.process_order API - Cross Reference Items

I'm stuck. I've been trying to figure out how I can create an order line using the oe_order_pub.process_order Oracle 11i API that will use the cross reference customer item for the Ordered Item and the usual internal item number for the internal value. I've hard coded the values in the line table "ordered_item" and "ordered_item_id" field and it has zero effect on the line creation, still using the inventory_item_id value required.

The values hard coded below are value and in the tables.

Does anyone know if it's possible to popluate the "Ordered Item" and "Ordrered_item_id" with the customer cross reference values for a given inventory item (ID)?
