Oracle Data Guard Configuration on different versions of same OS

Can we have dataguard between two Oracle databases with same version but the OS is different e.g. Source (Oracle 11g, Linux 6 ) Destination (Oracle 11g, Linux 8) ? Is it possible to have oracle data guard configuration based on mentioned versions?
