Is it possible to remove the SUID/SGID from emtgtctl2?

Hello.

After running a security scan of a RHEL8 server that has an Oracle GoldenGate and OEM agent installed we discovered some OEM paths that aren't compliant due to the SUID and SGID bits that are set for the following files:

  /opt/oracle/product/agent/13.4.0.0/agent_13.4.0.0.0/bin/emtgtctl2

       /opt/oracle/product/agent/13.4.0.0/agent_13.4.0.0.0/sbin/nmo

       /opt/oracle/product/agent/13.4.0.0/agent_13.4.0.0.0/sbin/nmhs

       /opt/oracle/product/agent/13.4.0.0/agent_13.4.0.0.0/sbin/nmb

       /opt/oracle/product/agent/13.4.0.0/agent_13.4.0.0.0/sbin/nmr

Is it possible to remove the SUID and SGID bits for those files?

Will the agent still work after removing the bits?

Mihaela
