what are the root causes of Increase in the value of "Global Cache Blocks lost" in Oracle DB?

We were working on an issue reported on an Oracle DB server on HPUX node. Customer mentioned that after installing Operations Agent( A software used for monitoring System performance provided by microfocus), they are seeing an increase in the value of "Global Cache Blocks lost" in Oracle. Could you please let us know what could be the probable causes for this issue and how we can debug to identify the root cause.
