Restore Primary/Standby

Hi ,

DB Version 12.2.0.1

Non Multitenant

Exadata X5-2 (ASM Storage)

Non RAC

SPFILE Used

Protection DG Mode : Maximum Performance (Physical standby db)

standby_file_management Parameter : AUTO

Questions :

1/ To perform a primary rman restore (PITR) is it necessary to stop Dataguard synchronization ?

If yes which method to do ?

Stop redo Transport ?

Stop redo Apply ?

Stop DG Configuration ?

2/ After Primary restore , it is necessary to rebuild standby (Flashback is disabled) ?

Tips to avoid rebuilding entire Standby when flashback mode is OFF ?

3/ Sometimes production change is complex , so what are best practices to do to be able to perform a rollback (via rman restore) if serious issue after production delivery and how to simplify standby synchronization (Enable Flashback before Production change ? , ...)

Howdy, Stranger!
