Oracle 12.2.11: Does transaction type ‘Cycle Count transfer’ apply to loose (non-LPN) material?

We are on 12.2.11 and trying to understand how to generate a transaction type of ‘Cycle Count transfer’

Based on metalink note R12 Cycle Count Transfer And Physical Inventory Transfer Inventory Transactions (Doc ID 1519749.1)

we created a manual cycle count entry for loose material in a new locator and approved the count.

It only created a transaction type of “Cycle count adjustment”

Questions

a) Are the test steps followed correct? Should any transaction have been done using MWA client?

b) Are the steps and transaction type relevant only to LPN and not loose inventory?
