Event class priority change

Hi,

Since BAS event classes are not effective dated there is no way to change the priority of an event class as of a new effective date. Are there any risks to existing events if a priority is changed? I will be testing this if we decide to go this route but I was wondering if anyone tried that.

P.S. it would be for an event that does not have benefit elections on it
