Running MPS/MRP Planning and top down planning at the same time
Hello,
We are attempting to plan items with a two-step approach, MPS then MRP, and other items with a top-down, one-step approach. So on the same day, we run R3483(Generation Type 1) on two distinct master planning families, planning code 1 items. Then we firm up the schedule and run R3483 (Generation Type 5) on planning code 2 and 3 items. We would then run top-down R3483 (Generation Type 4) on all the other master planning families, planning codes 1, 2, and 3.
The problem is the planning codes 2 and 3 items are getting replanned. I am thinking about setting up all items we want to plan with a top-down approach to planning code 5. So we would have:
