Changing elapsed time or task details for day does not trigger approval workflow on Submit

Hi PSFT Community

I have an issue whereby if I have a elapsed timesheet which is already submitted for approval but not yet approved, and I change a task value or even update the quantity for day, workflow is not resubmitted for that line entry when I click Submit.

If I instead click "Save for later" and then click "Submit", it does trigger the workflow to resubmit for that one line.

The importance of this is we have a custom user list in the AWE workflow steps which uses the task information to derived some approvers. So if the values which the AWE relies upon are changed, we expect that the workflow would retrigger and route the approval potentially to a new approver.
