Disabling Inventory organization

Hi Friends,

I have gone through the note - How do you disable an Inventory Organization (Doc ID 1019371.102)

Requirement is to get a guidance on best practices for disabling or turning off an entire inventory organization in an effort to cleanup our master data and also to prevent transactional activity.  

Organization is enabled as Inventory Organization, Project Expenditure/Event Organization and Project Manufacturing Organization.

-Is it as simple as entering a "To" date in the Organizations form, or is there more to it?  

-Do we need to look at scheduled concurrent requests and disable those?  

   - Automatic picklist generation, etc.
