Can Bursting be setup using a BIP Template xls file as the layout?

We have several scheduled reports that burst the output (an xlsx file) to a network directory. However, they all use Interactive type of layouts (the Template Filename has .xpt entension). In this case we want to use a BIP Excel template file that has three tabs.

We are not splitting the report into separate files. We are only using the Burst feature to output the file to a particular network directory.

  1. All other scheduled reports only have one layout, and it is an xpt file with interactive output format and includes the Excel output option.
