How to Segregate Fiscal Year Assets vs Calendar Year Inventory for The Fiscal Year

Hello,

We are implementing the Asset Tracking App and have this question. In PI Classic an extract scope is generated to match against. In PI Mobile we have the whole asset repository which is constantly growing and changing. How can we define a group of assets in the repository to match against - those that were acquired within the fiscal year? Define Inventory Occurrence dates don't seem to control this. Is there something in Mass Transactions? We have never touched these delivered definitions.
