Can we create a 2022 W2 or W2C for a 1099 employee that should have been W2
We were notified by AP team that they created a 1099 but this really should have been paid through payroll and created a W2. Since this is April and W2's are done. We can't figure out how to create a W2. We did balance adjustments effective 2022 to create 2022 earnings and subject to tax balances. We ran the corrected W2 process, but they don't get picked up since they didn't initially have a W2. And on the year end pre-process only parameters are year, and GRE is no longer an option.
HR did a retro hire to get them into the system.
