Announcing Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU56

We've just released the Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU56, the April 2023 Critical Patch Update. It is available via 'pkg update' from the support repository or by downloading the SRU from My Oracle Support Doc ID 2433412.1.

Some noteworthy improvements include:

  • The timezone data has been updated to 2023c

The following components have been updated to address security issues:

  • Apache Tomcat to 8.5.86
  • Apache Web Server to 2.4.56
  • APR to 1.7.2, APR-util to 1.6.3
  • Django 3.2 to 3.2.18
  • Firefox to 102.9.0esr
  • MySQL 5.7.40 to 5.7.41
  • Node.js to 18.14.1
  • PHP 8.1 to 8.1.16, PHP 8.0 to 8.0.28
  • Thunderbird to 102.9.0
  • git to 2.39.2
  • memcached to 1.6.18
  • openssl 1.0.2 to 1.0.2zg, openssl 1.1 to 1.1.1t, openssl-3 to 3.0.8
  • library/libtiff & utility/sec-labeling
