ODA patching and custom SSL certificates

I am sharing this with the community in case anyone else is using custom SSL certificates on their ODA. Last night I patched our x8-2s ODA to 19.18 (from 19.17) and received the following error after running :

odacli update-dcscomponents -v 19.18.0.0.0

Internal error while patching the DCS components :
DCS-10001:Internal error encountered: DCS-10001:Internal error encountered: Failed to change password of keystore.

Oracle support had me ignore this error and continue on with the patching. The remainder of the patching worked for me without any issues.

We have been using a custom SSL certificate since release ODA 19.10 and have had multiple issues during patching due to this. Sometimes the patches reset the certificates to the default certificates and then we re-configure custom certs afterward. The 19.18 patch appears to leave the custom SSL certificate configuration in place but errors when trying to reset the password on the keystore. Thankfully, Oracle support has always helped me through patching issues, however, I would suggest that when the ODA team tests patching, they include at least one system that is configured using custom SSL certificates. I think this

Howdy, Stranger!
