How can we avoid validation failures during work order creation?

We are implementing Oracle EBS 12.2.10. On the Create/Update work order pages an error message is thrown indicating that mandatory fields have not been populated before the work order has initially been saved.

For example: The following error is thrown after trying to enter Work Order Type while creating a work order and before I've had a chance to start entering values in these mandatory fields.

The error message can be avoided by entering mandatory field results mostly in reverse order (starting with fields in the Additional Details region and then moving upward through the Create Work Order region of the page). This is a little awkward.
