Error during Oracle Grid Infrastructure installation on Oracle Linux 8

I am currently building an Oracle Linux 8 environment on a virtual machine and encountered issues during the installation of Oracle Grid Infrastructure 12.2.0. During the installation process, I received an [INS-08109] error dialog which caused the installation to stop.


I then tried downgrading to version 12.1.0 and was able to install it partially. However, I encountered an error when running root.sh, which is as follows:

[root@brm2 ~]# /u01/app/grid/product/12.1.0/grid_2/root.sh

Performing root user operation.


The following environment variables are set as:

  ORACLE_OWNER= grid

  ORACLE_HOME= /u01/app/grid/product/12.1.0/grid_2


Enter the full pathname of the local bin directory: [/usr/local/bin]:
