Incorrect Category(Funding) and Sub-Category (Appropriation) Entered on PC_FND_DIST_LN

Peoplesoft FCM Project Costing 9.2.40 Oracle

All

Our clients have entered and incorrect value for their category(Funding) and sub-category(Appropriation). Since they now have a distributed amount on the line with the incorrect Funding and Appropriation they can not change it. They want to run sql to change these values.

I need to know:


Is there another way to change this thru the application?

What are the chances for errors in regards to processing by changing these values?

Has anyone done this before?
