Installed oracle with a domain user now cannot create a database

Oracle 19c(19.3) was installed and I patched it to 19.18.

I Installed oracle with using a virtual account which is a domain user now I cannot create a database. Getting error DBT-05901. " Unable to detect oracle home user". The user had to be specified with an @ sign e.g. enterprise\<user>@domain otherwise it did not seem to work, as I cannot run DBCA now and have it work.

The user i am under when I run DBCA is the same domain user .

How does it detect the oracle home user?
