This particular error shows up after the first calc on the payroll error report when running a payroll and where employees have multiple paygroups and the payroll run is not for the employees primary paygroup. To fix this error our payroll processors normally have to go and update the primary paygroup to match the payroll they are running and recalc. once they confirm they switch the paygroups back.
Is the configuration to handle the switching of the primary paygroup
If there is not a way to do this, how do other clients address this - are they all doing it manually or do they have it automated?
