Supplier page wont save supplier name, alias name etc after extending VendorsVO

Hello Experts

Need your inputs on figuring out an issue with Supplier page functionality after VO extension. I extended VendorsVO to add a new field to capture boolean value for implementing SPEL functionality. After extending the VO and bouncing the application I noticed that some of the text fields are not working as expected, for instance if I update supplier name or alias name or alternate supplier name fields and click on Save, banner on top of the page says 'changes have been saved' but values in these fields revert to previous values. This seems odd as it only stops few fields
