Convey a revision to a supplier

We are on 12.2.8. We do not utilize (not want to) revision control at the item level. However we do have revisions based on our drawings. How would you handle getting this revision information to a supplier? We have used a very weak and ineffective process of embedding the Rev. Number in the item description.


Any creative thoughts would be appreciated!
