SCAN-VIP/LISTENER failed to start

Oracle RAC 19.18 (GI and HOME)


Setup

SCAN Hostname resolves to 3 VIPS via round-robin

Scenario:

if for some reason 1 of the SCAN-VIP/LISTENER failed to start in a RAC Cluster and if a user uses that gets that SCAN-VIP from the round-robin result. will the connection immediately gets an error or will Oracle Clusterware be able to rout it to any of the live SCAN-VIP?
