Is there a way to convert a Criteria Based Learning Group to a Query Based Learner Group?

We have some Learner Groups in which the selection has changed and can only get the new filters through a query. Each Learner Group has a Learner Group ID and I don't want to mess up whatever processes or setup is using the existing Learner ID. Is there a way to convert on the front or backend?
