opatch interruption
DB 19.19 on Linux
Multiple times there has been a treath of the host machine (Windows) being bounced while an Opatch was running on a Linux server in a Putty session.
Such a violent disconnect is assumed to be fatal for the Linux process, in this case opatch.
So my question is: what is the worst case that can happen when a client is disconnection forcefully while such a process is running ?
Obviously it would depend on what exact action was running, om the whole of an opatch command execution.
A database patch is assumed not be applied correctly,
and I'm not sure a rollback is possible either.
