Lot controlled items

Hi,

we have a lot-controlled item with on hand quantity and lot number.

we want to convert this lot-controlled item to non lot-controlled item, we can do that from item branch. but what's the best way to fix the onhand inventory i.e removal of lot number from available quantity?
