Oracle VSS Writer - Event-Log Entries

in Database Backup and Recovery (MOSC) 4 commentsAnswered

Hi,

on Oracle 19c on Windows with different backup tools i received the following different entries in the Windows Eventlog:

Backup-Tool 1: VSS-04107: successfully backed up component Oracle Database (COPY) 

Backup-Tool 2: VSS-04106: successfully backed up Oracle files on volume C:\

I can't find any documentation on what in detail is the difference between the 2 event log entries.

Can someone tell me where I can find documentation on this topic?
