Reconfiguring EPM Environment - Planning, HFM, FDMEE, HFR to new DB host

Hello All -

Requesting some inputs here. We are in need to re-configure our Hyperion environment against new DB host. We have HFM, FDMEE, Planning, HFR in our environment. We have close to 28 servers where every component is load balanced. All the components are installed in first foundation server.

When running the re-configurator, is it ok to run the configurator in the first foundation box and update the DB details for all the components? Should we run in other boxes as well?

Also, should I run EPM Config All Instances or EPM Config Single Instance? Any insight would be much appreciated
