GTIN Functionality

Hi gurus,

I am trying to innovate GTIN in my company. Can ORACLE ERP generate automatically a GTIN? I am aware that if you input a 14 digit number in an atribute it could be generated, but we want the system to generate them by itself (Just like the Number of a shipment is generated)
