New York Metropolitan Commuter Transportation Tax effective July 1, 2023

PeopleSoft HCM 9.2: The state of New York has issued an update for the Metropolitan Commuter Transportation Mobility Tax for certain New York Counties effective July 1, 2023. A review of the changes seem to indicate there will be more than one rate that has to be applied based on certain counties' work location. The current local tax table for P0023 won't support multiple rates in its current state.

What will PS do to meet the new requirements and what is the timeline for the changes? We need to plan on how to manage splitting the current rate for all counties to accommodate 2 rates as soon as possible to be able to apply, update employee tax data and test the changes for a large NY employer population.
