ITEM TYPE UPDATE FOR "PICK UP RECEIVABLE FROM CHARGE"

A campus reported that the GL was not being fed over correctly from a newly created Financial Aid item type that was used for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023. After review of the info, it was noticed that on the Miscellaneous tab (Set Up SACR > Product Related > Student Financials > Item Types > Item Types > Miscellaneous) that the "Pick Up Receivable from Charge" box was not check marked for the new financial aid item type.

From what I could find, the intent for payment transactions where the item type has Pick Up Charge From Receivable (PUCFR) turned on is to debit cash and credit receivable. However, I did not test updating the "Pick Up Receivable from Charge" box because PeopleSoft warns against such a change once transactions have already been posted.
