ANNOUNCEMENT - Form I-9 and remote worker/virtual inspection of documents

Hello All,

 I don’t think most customers know about this recent announcement by The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) – so if you did any remotely inspection of an employee’s form I-9 documents this WILL IMPACT your organization. Organization that began conducting virtual employment eligibility verifications during the pandemic-era will be REQUIRED to conduct a physical inspection of completed   I-9 forms as soon as possible in anticipation of the August 30 deadline (it was July 31, 2023). 

So,

• For all employees (as of March 2020) that had a virtual inspection of their documents NOW have to re-present their documents
