Upgrade advice from Siebel CRM 21.9 to 23.4

-- Current version of Siebel CRM SIEBEL_VERSION=21.9.0.0.0

-- Target version of Siebel CRM 23.4 using non-repository changes to close security events.

 

On a test bench with version SIEBEL_VERSION=21.9.0.0.0, an update was launched to version Siebel CRM 23.4 without applying repository changes (step 3 of 19 in the menu, only the "Siebel Enterprise Components" item is checked)

In this regard, there are questions:

1) correctly install patch 23.4 using the Update method without installing repository changes by setting only the "Siebel Enterprise Components" item in the selection menu?

2) do I need to update Siebel Tools to the latest version (current version is 21.7.0.0 SIA [2021_07])?

3) New Features in Siebel CRM 22.7 describes a non-repository change "Enable Workspaces for Siebel Tasks" - will it apply when installing Siebel CRM 23.4 without repository changes or do I need additional workspace actions?
