Platform migration R12.13 64bit SUSE Linux to 64bit OEL

Hi,

We are currently running R12.1.3 11.2.0.4db Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.5 JDK7 on 64bit SLES 12 - need to migrate to a new server running 64bit OEL7. No upgrades to db or apps.

SELS 12 and OEL Linux x86 64bit are both Little Endian formats.

Looking for high level steps to accomplish this

  • set up OEL7 64bit O/s on new server per specs for OEL7 in 761566.1 - Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes R12.1.1 for Linux x86-64.
  • Do a straight Rapid clone of database and Apps from source 64bit SLES 12 server to target 64bit new OEL7 server per 406982.1 - Cloning Oracle Applications Release 12 with Rapid Clone
