Manager starting too many collector/server instances on restart
I am using GoldenGate v19.1.0.0.210420 as the target for a NonStop to DB2 for zOS replication flow with the mainframe GoldnGate processes running under zLinux .
We have recently migrated our zLinux replication from one server to a cluster of 2 servers for redundancy purposes. These are configured as active/passive so only 1 server is active at a time. The software versions are identical between the old single server and the individual servers in the cluster.
We have run into an issue when the manager was stopped and started on the server where the manager seems to create extra collector instances (which appear as server instances in top) with one of the collectors using almost all the cpu on the box. When we kill the extra server/collector instance, replication and CPU usage returns to normal and runs fine until the next time we do a stop and start of the manager where the issue re-appears.
