Is Azure snapshot based backup supported by Oracle?

Product: Oracle database EE 19c

Plattform: Redhat linux 8 in Azure

The solution offered by MS is snapshot based backup on the VM combined with Rman archive logs backup. Disk holding archive logs is backed up separatly for longer term storage.
