How do I get the "chatId" to get chat's messages through API?

I need to get the chat history messages. The endpoint requires that I specify the chat Id. The problem is that I don't know how to get the chat Id from OFS (version 23B). Also I am unsure whether I need to accept the chat in order for the system to generate a chat Id?. If so, I am not sure where to get the Id.
