Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. ODA X9-2L Patching Fallback Plan

Hi,

My team has to schedule the patching activity for the ODA X9-2L, currently at 19.17 to latest 19.19.

However, we do have some queries regarding the fallback plan.

As mentioned in guide, ODABR will be used to restore to pre-patch state. But as i have tested, ODABR used LVM snapshot, and that requires free unused space on internal disk of ODA. During initial setup, we had expanded the /u01 and /opt to occupy the space. In this situation, the ODABR will fail due to insufficient space to create the LVM snapshot. Is there any workaround on this?
As for DB system, what will be the fallback plan ?
