End date Intercompany Transaction Flow - Incorrect accounting

HI

Earlier we had set up interocmpany transaction flows which is now end dated. Post this change, we expected accounting flows to behave like inventory transfers (Vs Sale-Purchase earlier). Despite end dating it, accounting on shipment is still hitting accrual and Create Intercompany AR is still trying to create invoice and is erroring out.

Can someone help us understand which set up might be missing so as to alter the behavior.
