EAM PM Schedules - How to cancel past Unreleased work orders

Hi, we are on Oracle EBS 12.2.10.


We have hundreds of PM Schedules. Our users have previously generated many PM work orders but for some reason they did not release them (there are literally hundreds of work orders with past schedule dates that are sitting in an Unreleased status and they will never be released). We would like to cancel them.

If we try to cancel the PM work orders, they just get reinstated next time we generate a future work order from the PM Schedule. Also, we cannot complete these work orders because they are in an Unreleased status.


We need to cancel the work orders and prevent them being re-generated. My thoughts are to cancel the work orders, and then manually populate the last service dates on the PM Schedule to a current date. Is this the best approach, or is there a more efficient way of cancelling historic Unreleased PM work orders.
