Buyer Managed Transportation functionality in R12.2.12?

Is it possible to have a field in the PO that allows us to enter a requested collection date. When placing Exworks orders with suppliers, we have experienced issues where the supplier takes our requested delivery date (the date we require the good to arrive at site) as the collection date, which has caused some lengthy delays in deliveries. I see that there is a buyer managed transportation functionality in Oracle Fusion. Is there something similar available in R12. I see there is a BMT flag on the supplier but not sure if setting it add a different date to
