Multiple ePerformance templates, multiple non-person profiles for one business unit

HCM version 9.2, Peopletools 8.59.17, Image 45. We are using classic ePerformance, not fluid.

I have two Non-person profiles set up for one Business Unit/Company.  One is for staff and the other is for faculty. Note: we only use Non-person Profiles, not Person Profiles.

The first profile is set up with Profile Identities of BUSINESS_UNIT and JOB_FAMILY (36 separate job families). The second profile is setup with Profile Identities of COMPANY and JOB_FAMILY (8 separate job families).

Problem #1: In the Profile Identity Options table (Setup HCM>Product Related>Profile Management>Profiles>Profile Identity Options) the sequence number for JOB_FAMILY is a higher priority than the sequence number for BUSINESS_UNIT. When I created performance documents for another business unit, the Document Creation process selects the wrong non-person profile to create the documents. I assume this is because JOB_FAMILY is the higher priority and our business units use the same Job Family table.
