Oracle Solaris 11.4.59.144.2 (S11.4 SRU59.144.2) Released

We've just released the Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU59, the July 2023 Critical Patch Update. It is available via 'pkg update' from the support repository or by downloading the SRU from My Oracle Support Doc ID 2433412.1.

Some noteworthy improvements include:

  • Explorer 23.3 is now available

The following components have been updated to address security issues:

  • Apache Tomcat to 8.5.89
  • CUPS to 2.4.3
  • Firefox to 102.12.0esr
  • Golang to 1.19.9
  • MySQL 8 to 8.0.33
  • Thunderbird to 102.12.0
  • git to 2.39.3
  • liblouis to 3.25.0
  • libxml2 to 2.10.4
  • database/mysql, gnome/nautilus, library/libtiff, library/libwebp, library/openjpeg, python-mod/sqlparse & utility/gnu-compiler
