EAM - How to stop work order generation in Preventive Maintenance

Please share your advice on below.

We are having two schedules for DG set like below

1. Based on meter reading - for this we are using meter reading and define the PM schedule
2. Based on dates - for this we have defined PM schedule for same asset based on dates.

So now requirement some time DG set do not run and hours reading not meet the DG service but based on dates scheduled we need to plan for service.

Now if we have first schedule in 30 hrs and one month either one if first but in this case work order will also generate for date based so we need to stop 2nd work order generation in this case.
