Oracle 19c DB cluster on virtual machine (KVM)- ASM disk access method

Dear Experts,

We have 2 KVM host (within same data center) sharing a flash FC storage. We have created 2 VMs on this cluster and will be installing oracle RAC 19c cluster on these 2 VMs. We would like to understand what is recommended disk access method for oracle database :-  


1. Should we create storage LUNs and present to KVM first and then create sharable drives between 2 VMs for oracleasm configuration? Is there any limitation in this type disk access method?  


2. Or should be directly present the storage LUNs to VMs as pass through disks?
